The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm WATCH that will take effect on late Wednesday/Early Thursday. This covers almost all of the Southern Indiana with the exception of Ripley, Dearborn, Ohio, and Switzerland Counties. I wouldn't be surprised if those counties get added soon.
As it stands now rain will move in Wednesday morning and likely just be plain rain. As the day wears on temperatures will start to drop this will promote the chance for a wintery mix (freezing rain, sleet, snow). There is still some uncertainty of the type of precipitation. With that I can't talk about totals yet as models are still fine tuning. By late tomorrow the fine details will likely start coming together. The threat for winter weather will persist through the day Thursday.
Travel impacts are expected. If you can avoid travel during this period of inclement weather that's probably the best option. Temperatures look to remain at or below freezing through Sunday before highs rebound to the low 40s. So any untreated roads will likely remain slick well into the Weekend.
