Hello everyone coming to you from the blog on this early Wednesday morning. I will have the regularly scheduled weather headlines and weather briefing on the homepage here on the JCTV Weather Center website at 3am CDT. this morning so be on the look out for that. I will be planning to return with a full forecast video update on Thursday night at 10pm CDT.
Now on to your forecast...
Hopefully you have been enjoying the warm daytime heat. It is going to be leaving us as we close this week out. I'll go more into that on the 7 day as I go through the forecast below.
It will be a chilly night as lows drop into the mid 40s with clear skies and light winds out the southwest at 2mph.
We will reach the low 80s today and it will probably be our last for a while. The warm temperatures will be followed by sunshine and it will be breezy with winds out the South Southwest at 16mph.
Looking ahead a strong cold front will pass through the area on Thursday and will spark a 40 percent chance for rain and sharply colder temperatures. Nearly a 40 degree drop in temperatures by Thursday night given that we will be in the low 80s for highs today and then dropping into the low 60s during the day tomorrow and dropping down into the 30s by Thursday night.
By Friday morning a cold start to the day and only warming up into the low 60s with dry weather and sunshine expected.
Heading into the weekend cloud cover will be increasing and temperatures will also rise back into the upper 60s before another small cold front arrives on Monday and temperatures dropping back into the low 60s. The front will also try to spark some rain showers on Monday however the chance is low at 30 percent.
By Tuesday some rain showers may still try to stick around but the chance is low at 20 percent.
Looking on to Wednesday we dry out and temperatures rebound into the upper 60s for highs.
Overall enjoy the warm weather while it lasts!
Have A Good Wednesday!
